I was home educated myself from beginning to end, and it is something I have always hoped to give my own children.
 

Now, as a mother of four young children, I began looking seriously at what was actually available for Catholic families wanting to home educate in the UK. I found plenty of wonderful resources, but I couldn't find quite what I was looking for: resources that were genuinely Catholic, suited to British families, and recognised that education is about far more than academics alone. And so, Hidden Life was born.

Hidden Life is not about recreating school at home. It is about helping families make the most of the ordinary life of the home as a place of learning and formation. At its heart is the desire to form the whole child - mind, heart and hands - inspired by the hidden years of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Nazareth.
 

I am creating Hidden Life first and foremost from my own experience as a home educator and a mother, but my hope is that it will grow into a collection of beautiful, practical and faithful resources that Catholic families across the UK can use and make their own.
